αἶσα gehört letzten Endes zu αἴνυμαι, ist aber zunächst als Femininableitung auf -[ὰ des in osk. aeteis “partis’, gr. *altos (8. αἰτέω) vorliegenden ti-Stammes zu verstehen, vgl. Krause 8.2.0. Eine ablautende Form sucht Fick (Odyssee 20) in ἴσσασϑαι: κληροῦσϑαι.
