حَيْرَان

HayoraAnu HyrAn (T, S, A, K) and ↓ HaAy^irN (T, A, K) and ↓ mutaHay~irN (TA) A man in a state of confusion, or perplexity, and unable to see his right course: (K, * TA:) erring; having lost his way: (T, TA:) fem. [of the first] HayoraY (Lh, T) and HayoraA='u : (A, K:) and pl. [of the same] HayaAraY (S, A, K) and HuyaAraY (K) and HayoraY , like the fem. sing. (Lh.) You say, laA tafoEalo *`lika A^um~uka HayoraY [ Do not thou that: may thy mother become in a state of confusion, &c.]: and laA tafoEaluwA *`lika A^um~ahaAtukumo HayoraY [ Do not ye that: may your mothers become &c.]. (Lh.) And baAy^irN ↓ rajulN HaAy^irN A man who does not apply himself rightly to an affair; (S, TA;) who knows not the right course to pursue in his affair; as also fiY A^amorihi ↓ mutaHay~irN . (TA.
