1. مَصِيرٌ

maSiyrN * an inf. n. of SaAra [q. v.]. (S, M, &c.) -A2- [Also A place, and hence a state or condition, to which a person, or thing, eventually comes: a place of destination. ] See SiyrN . ― -b2- A place where people alight and abide: a good place where people alight and abide. (TA.) ― -b3- A place to which waters come, or take their course: (M, K:) [or a place of herbage, or pasture, and of water: pl. maSaAyiru : so in the saying,] xarajuwA A_ilaY maSaAyirihimo They went forth to their places of herbage, or pasture, and of water. maSiyrN * A gut, an intestine, or a bowel, into which the food passes from the stomach; syn. miEFY : (S, M, Msb, K:) or specially, as some say, of a bird, and of an animal which has a soft foot, or xuf~ , [ as the camel, ] and of such as have a cloven hoof: (M, TA:) pl. [of pauc.] A^amoSirapN (M, K) and [of mult.] muSoraAnN , and pl. pl. maSaAriynu : (S, M, A, Msb, K:) the last accord. to Sb; (M;) but some say that it is not established; (A;) and Lth says, that it is a mistake; but Az says, that it is pl. of muSoraAnN , and that the Arabs have given it this form of pl. imagining the m to be a radical letter; (TA;) and some say, that maSiyrN is of the measure mafoEilN , [originally maSoyirN ,] derived from SaAr A_ilayohi AlT~aEaAmu [“ the food passed to it ”], and they say muSoraAnN in like manner as they say musolaAnN as pl. of masiylu AlmaA='i , likening mafoEilN to faEiylN : (S, TA:) miSoraAnN also is a dial. form of muSoraAnN .
