(Kur, xxxiv, 18; and Expos. of the Jeláleyn.) ― -b2- [ mar~aqa , used tropically, may sometimes be rendered (assumed tropical:) He mangled, rent much, or dissundered; but more generally, (assumed tropical:) he, or it, shattered, disorganized, or dissipated; or (assumed tropical:) he, or it, marred, or impaired; being opposed to A^aSolaHa , or to raqaEa or raq~aEa , in the sense of A^aSolaHa , as in an ex. cited voce raqaEa ; sometimes several of these renderings will be found to be appropriate in a single instance.
