raAbiEN * [act. part. n. of rabaEa ]. ― -b2- The chief who used to take the fourth part of the spoil, in the Time of Ignorance. (Ham p. 336.) ― -b3- huwa raAbiEu A^arobaEapK He is [ the fourth of four, or] one of four. (TA.) ― -b4- [ raAbiEa Ea$ara and raAbiEapa Ea$orapa , the former masc. and the latter fem., meaning Fourteenth, are subject to the same rules as vaAliva Ea$ara and its fem., expl. in art. vlv , q. v.] ― -b5- A_ibilN rawaAbiEu [ Camels coming to water, or being watered, on the fourth day, counting the day of the next preceding watering as the first : pl. of raAbiEapN ]: from rabaEati AlA_ibilu , meaning waradati Alr~iboEa . (S, K.) In like manner, also, rawaAbEu is applied, metaphorically, to birds of the kind called qaTFA , as an epithet denoting their coming to water, by El- 'Ajjáj. (TA.) -A2- rabiyEN raAbiEN A fruitful, or plentiful, rbyE [meaning the season so called]. (ISk, K.) ― -b2- One does not say yawomN raAbiEN like as one says yawomN qaAy^iZN &c., because there is no corresponding verb, like qaAZa , &c., for such a verb would have no meaning of heat nor of cold.
