خَبْء

xabo'N xb' (S, Msb, K) and ↓ xibo'N (TA) and ↓ xuboA^apN , of the measure fuEolapN from AlxbA^ [or rather Alxabo'u ], like gurofapN and quboDapN from Algarofu and AlqaboDu , (Har p. 426,) and ↓ xabiYo'N (S, K) and ↓ xabiyoy^apN , (K,) of which last the pl. is xabaAyaA , (TA,) A thing that is hidden, or concealed, (S, * Msb, K,) and absent, or unseen. (K.) [Hence,] xabo'u Als~amaA='i The rain. (Th, S, K.) And xabo'u AlA^aroDi The plants, or herbage. (S, K.) And AlA^aroDi ↓ xabaAyaA The seed which the sower has hidden in the earth: or what God has hidden in the mines of the earth. (TA, from a trad.) Al~a*iY yuxoriju Alxabo'a fiY Als~am`waAti waAlA^aroDi , in the Kur [xxvii. 25], is held by Az to mean Who knoweth what is unseen in the heavens and the earth; agreeably with an explanation of Alxabo'u by Fr. (TA.)
