generally, εἰ. τινὰς εἰς λῃτουργίαν bring new persons into the public service, Id. 20.19,20 ; τῶν πραττομένων εἰσεποίει κοινωνὸν αὑτόν forced himself in as partaker, Din. 1.32; εἰ. ἐγκώμιον εἰς τὴν ἱστορίαν introduce panegyric into history, Luc. Hist.Conscr. 9; εἰ. ἑαυτὸν εἰς δύναμίν τινος thrust himself into anotherʼs authority, Plu. Pomp. 16; εἰ. Ἡσιόδῳ Θεογονίαν father it on him, Paus. 9.27.2.
τὸ τάχος [τὴν τίγριν] ἐσ. τοῖς ἀνέμοις adopts into the family of winds, i.e. makes it as swift as the winds, Philostr. VA 3.48.
