Als Jotpräsens kann λάξομαι für Ἐλάγ-τομαι (oder *Adyy-gonaı; Brugmann-Thumb 336, … — [Frisk, s.v. λάζομαι, p. 1043]

Um für die damit mutmaßlich verwandten λαβεῖν, λαμβάνω, λάφυρον ohne Annahme eines Labiovelars auskommen zu körınen, will Pisani Paideia 16 (1961) 51f. unter Hinweis auf eine entsprechende romanische Lautentwicklung λάζομαιε auf ἔλάβιομαι zurückführen. Lautlich ist das nicht zu 144 λαιδρός---1. λεβηρίς widerlegen, obwohl man angesichts des Wandels πε» nr eher ßö erwartet hätte. — [Frisk, s.v. λάζομαι, p. 2269]
