Provided "as is"
Logoi is provided "as is" for educational and scholarly use. We do our best to ensure philological claims are citation-grade and the audit chain is rigorous, but we make no warranty as to fitness for any particular purpose. Verify any claim that matters independently — the audit chain (source rows, evidence rows, receipt URLs) is structured to make verification straightforward.
Acceptable use
- You may use Logoi's content for academic research, sermon preparation, language study, religious practice, comparative scholarship, and any related personal or institutional purpose.
- You may cite Logoi in your work; the citation policy is at /docs/citation-policy.
- You may build AI agents against Logoi only inside the published /for-agents contract. Use JSON or MCP endpoints only when the relevant surface is explicitly enabled, and do not use either surface to bypass source, receipt, noindex, rate-limit, or unavailable-state gates.
- You may not abuse the API endpoints (excessive request rate, scraping intended to mirror Logoi without attribution, attempts to bypass rate limits when they are introduced).
- You may not redistribute upstream paywalled or copyrighted lexicon entries we do not display (see /acknowledgments for the citation-only authorities list).
Content licensing
Logoi reuses public-domain texts (e.g., LSJ, BDB, Lewis & Short, Vulgate, Perseus canonical-greek texts) and CC-licensed corpora (e.g., DIORISIS CC BY-SA 3.0 US, Coptic Scriptorium CC BY 4.0, OSHB CC BY 4.0). Each upstream is credited at /acknowledgments with its specific license.
Logoi-authored prose (e.g., page text, methodology docs, journey commentary) is © Cody Peterson, all rights reserved, unless explicitly marked as released under a license. We may release some Logoi-authored content under a CC license in the future; that decision will land here.
Errors and corrections
Despite the audit chain and validators, errors will happen. Report errors to cody@cityseamless.com. Material corrections land as new commits with dated entries; we do not silently rewrite history. The Git commit log is the public audit.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operators of Logoi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Use Logoi the same way you would use any reference work: as a starting point that you verify before relying on it for high-stakes work (publication, sermon, legal proceedings, medical advice — none of which Logoi provides).
Changes
Updates to these terms land here on a dated commit. Material changes will be flagged in the public changelog. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance.
