think of other things, give no heed, ἀλλʼ ἥμην ἀλλοφρονέων Od. 10.374; of one in a swoon, to be senseless, κὰδ δʼ ἀλλοφρονέοντα . . εἷσαν Il. 23.698; κεῖτʼ ἀλλοφρονέων Theoc. 22.129, cf. Arist. Metaph. 1009b30; ὑπὸ τούτων ἀλλοφρονῆσαι were seized with frenzy by reason of the thunder, etc., Hdt. 5.85; ἀλύει καὶ ἀ. ὑπὸ τῆς ὀδύνης Hp. Morb. 2.16, cf. Mul. 1.41.
