1 kanasa * , (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) aor. kanusa , (S, Msb,) or kanisa , (Mgh,) inf. n. kanosN , (S, Mgh, Msb,) He swept (Mgh, TA) a house, or chamber, (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) or place, (TA,) with a mikonasap [or broom]. (A, Mgh.) ― -b2- mar~uwA bihimo fakanasuwhumo (tropical:) They passed by them and swept them away, or destroyed them; syn. kasaHuwhumo . (A, TA.) -A2- kanasa , (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) aor. kanisa , (S, Msb, K,) or kanusa , (Mgh,) inf. n. kunuwsN , (Mgh, Msb,) He (an antelope) entered his kinaAs , (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) i. e., his covert, or hiding-place, among trees; (S, K;) or abode; (Msb;) or cave; (TA;) as also ↓ tkn~s (S, A, Mgh, K) and ↓ Aktns ;) (A, TA;) which two verbs are likewise said of a wild bull or cow, in the same sense. (TA.) [Hence,] ↓ tkn~s also signifies (tropical:) He (a man, TA) entered the tent: (K:) or hid himself, and entered the tent. (TA.) And ↓ tkn~st (tropical:) She (a woman) entered the hawodaj [or camel-litter ]: (K:) app. taken from the saying of Lebeed, fatakan~asuwA quTonFA , meaning, and they entered hawaAdij [or camel-litters ] covered with cloths of cotton. (TA.) ― -b2- [Hence also,] kanasati Aln~ujuwmu , (Zj,) aor. kanisa , (AO, Zj, S, K,) inf. n. kunuwsN , (Lth, Zj,) (tropical:) The stars hid themselves in their place, or places, of setting, (AO, Zj, S, K, *) like antelopes in their kunus [or coverts]: (K:) [or] continued in their courses and then departed, returning: (Zj:) or the stars [here meaning planets ] became stationary in their circuiting or revolving.
