ἔκητι [adv.] ‘by the will of, for the sake of (Od.). <1E *uek- ‘wish, want’> *VAR Also ἔκᾶτι. “ΟΟΜΡ ἀέκητι ‘against the will’ (Hom.). *ETYM Related to éxa-, ἑκών and ἀέκων, but the formation is unclear.
