Ἴλιος [f.] ‘Tlios, the city of Troy’ (IL); τἰὸν only O 71, always in tragedy (E.). *ETYM In a treaty between the Hittite king Muwattali Ἢ (1290-72) and Alaksandu (which must be Homer’s Alexander) of Wilusa, Wilusiya, a small state in the far north West of Anatolia.
