οἰέτεας [acc.pl.] “of the same year, of the same age’ (B 765). eETYM For "ὀ-έτεας (see » O- 1 and » ἕτος 2) from "ὀρέτης, with ot as a reversed notation for metrical lengthening. This notation can be understood in connection with the antevocalic change of ot to o in Attic (e.g. éndnge); it also occurred in Ionic. — [Beekes, s.v. οἰέτεας, p. 1105]

οἰέτεας : acc. pl d'un composé sigmatique «ayant autant d'années, du même âges (IL 2,765). Pour *è{Fjeréæc, cf. 1 ὁ- et 2. ἔτος : οἱ- serait un allongement métrique, cette notation s’expliquant parce qu’en ion. -att. οἱ devant voyelle est passé à o, cf. ἐπόησε, 66 qui a entraîné l'emploi de o pour marquer la longue, cette diphtongue étant d'ailleurs phonétiquement satisfaisante, cf.
