top, upper side (in which meaning usually piṭṭha³) only in cpd. ˚pāsāṇa and loc. piṭṭhiyaṃ as adv. on top of Ja.v.297 (ammaṇa˚) piṭṭhi at Vv-a.101 is evidently faulty reading.
