Schmidt, IIJ 15 [1973] 1f£); dazu RV 7,1,14 sahasra-päthas-, etwa „mit tausend Schützungen“ (s. auch L. De Vries, KZ 93 11979] 17 Anm. 35). Wenn H.-P. Schmidts exegetische Bestimmung zutrifft, liegt Berıchung zu PA! nahe. Mit diesem wurde p° zwar assoziiert (figurae etymol. bei Schmidt, a.a.0. … — [Mayrhofer, s.v. pathas-, p. 149]
