τὸ γὰρ δίκαιον ἐν ταῖς νομαῖς ὁμολογοῦσι πάντες κατʼ ἀξίαν τινὰ δεῖν εἶναι, τὴν μέντοι ἀξίαν οὐ τὴν αὐτὴν λέγουσι πάντες ἀλλʼ οἱ μὲν δημοκρατικοὶ ἐλευθερίαν, οἱ δʼ ὀλιγαρχικοὶ πλοῦτον, οἳ δʼ εὐγένειαν, οἱ δʼ ἀριστοκρατικοὶ ἀρετήν.
