οὐκ ἀεὶ δʼ οὐθὲν ἡδὺ τὸ αὐτὸ διὰ τὸ μὴ ἁπλῆν ἡμῶν εἶναι τὴν φύσιν, ἀλλʼ ἐνεῖναί τι καὶ ἕτερον, καθὸ φθαρτοί, ὥστε ἄν τι θάτερον πράττῃ, τοῦτο τῇ ἑτέρᾳ φύσει παρὰ φύσιν, ὅταν δʼ ἰσάζῃ, οὔτε λυπηρὸν δοκεῖ οὔθʼ ἡδὺ τὸ πραττόμενον:
