Merc.Cond. 42.--To this belongs also aor. ἔτᾰφον, used by Hom. only in part. τᾰφών, in the phrases ταφὼν ἀνόρουσε Il. 9.193, Od. 16.12, al.; στῆ δὲ ταφών Il. 11.545, al.; later in indic., 3 sg. τάφε Pi.
